♥PERCY JACKSON AND THE SEA OF MONSTERS BOOK REVIEW ♥✌❤

In this sequel to the very well-known Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, the Pine tree(Thalia), which protects the camp from any invasion by monsters is poisoned, and the camp is under a lot of danger. The camp is now an easy target for any monster to attack, and hence, everyone is worried. To save the camp,Percy and his friends would have to go on a quest to find the 'Golden Fleece'. But where is the Golden Fleece?

Usually, the sequels to many books start getting somewhat tedious, but this book kept forcing me to read further.Note- Percy Jackson books are extremely addictive and arduous to put down until the book is complete. ☺

In this book, I could actually sense Percy's water-related powers, because most of the time, they were in the sea. One thing that I like a lot is that after every action sequence Percy cracks a joke or two, just to lighten up the reader's mood. I don't think you would find any Percy Jackson book to be extremely serious, grave or dull! 

The Percy Jackson series has earned a lot of admiration from the teenagers all around the world. Comments like- "You look like Polyphemus" and "Hey Medusa, what's up?" are no longer bizarre. Unlike many other books which have been quite well-known, the PJO books won't end up disheartening you in any manner; may it be the death of your favorite character, or the extremely protracted action sequences. Let me tell you, these books will end up becoming classics in the next 50-75 years!

If you have read Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief, you must be knowing that the end is not much of a cliffhanger. But, on the contrary, if you read the last page of this book, you can't wait until you get your hands on The Titan's curse. ☺Luckily, I had The Titan's Curse right beside me as I completed reading this book, so it wasn't that difficult for me! 

The parts that I LOVED IN THIS BOOK ♥

• RAINBOW THE HIPPOCAMPUS ♥♥♥
• When Grover wore a wedding dress. 
• When The Party Ponies Invaded.
• C.C's Spa and Resort.
• When they had to fight with Scylla and Charybdis 

Okay, so I don't think I can write anything bad at all about the Percy Jackson books! Everything is just so unique and interesting that any fan would have wished there were at least a hundred books in this series. There isn't anything that I didn't like, but when somebody would ask me whether I would prefer The Lightning Thief over The Sea of Monsters, I would say yes. The only reason why is because the adventure was longer in the first book! 

 Anyways, I think the PJO fandom is one of the largest fandoms on the internet. There are memes and fanfictions everywhere. Obviously, there has to be a valid reason behind all of this fangirling!

Percy Jackson and The Sea of Monsters was a good read, and I enjoyed flipping every single page of this book. I would recommend everyone to read this thinking that this book is basically meant for us to know better about all the other demigods, and some new characters that are introduced in the book. This time, the readers got the see a darker side of Camp Half-Blood, which was because the monsters had invaded and all that. Sea Of Monsters is just another perfect book by Rick Riordan,and I found this book to be quite delightful to read. ☺

THE FAULT IN OUR STARS BOOK REVIEW. (!!!) ♥☺

Let me start off by saying this- JOHN GREEN IS A GENIUS.

I don't even know how somebody can think of writing such an insightful novel.

Also, I've noticed that everyone has a different view on this book. Some may think that it has changed the way they look at things, whereas others might just say that it's another cliched romance story that is being over-hyped on the internet.

Everyone looks at this book from a different perspective. Here's mine-

This book has  ‎20,13,840 votes on Goodreads, (which JUST KEEP increasing everyday), with an average rating of 4.3 stars. This book surely ought to be a work of art.Also,this is the first novel that I've read, which has been penned by John Green. 

"That's the thing about pain. It demands to be felt."

The first thing that I love about this book are the QUOTES.

Yes, I know that it is a little difficult to understand them, but the very moment you do; you fall in love with the book.You fall in love with the characters. 

John Green has used a very simple concept of a quintessential tragic love story : Both of them fall in love, either of them dies.The only plot twist is  cancer- the only thing that made this book so special.This is a YA fiction, so naturally,it is based on a teenager( who suffers from thyroid cancer).

I had read some reviews before reading this book, so I pretty much knew what was going to happen in the end. As I read the book, I tried to keep denying the thought of Augustus's death, because as I commenced reading, my obsession with the characters kept increasing! Obviously, even though I was NOT AT ALL satisfied with the epilogue, I couldn't stop thinking about the book. 

Here's why I didn't like the epilogue-

Hazel had once talked about her favorite book: An Imperial Affliction. She had also remarked that she really wanted to know what happened in the end, because the book ended in the middle of the sentence. A large part of the book is about how they go to Amsterdam to find the author of the book and ask him to explain what happens after the book ends. 

How can I relate this with the ending of The Fault in our stars? Here's how-

The book ended with Hazel saying "I do, Augustus. I do." Obviously, you'll be able to understand what she means to say, once you read the entire chapter.

But NOTHING was specified after that. Your mind gets flooded with questions like " What happened to Hazel? Did she die too?" Maybe it was the author's trick. I guess he gave the readers a hint when he referred to An Imperial Affliction (which is not a real book, it turns out) 

This is how it feels like after you complete reading page 313-

Another thing that was a little irritating is the fact that they talk a lot like pretentious adults, which is kind of funny. But,that's not the point. I don't think they ever stopped! I don't believe that 16 year- olds like Hazel and Augustus would find it to be completely normal to talk in such a manner!

Anyway, those were the only two things that I didn't like in the ENTIRE BOOK. 

Everything else was perfect, and even though I've read the book almost thrice, I don't seem to get bored of it! It is unbelievable how an author can understand the sentiments of teenagers suffering from cancer .On the cover page of the book, there is a comment by Markus Zusac. He said, "You laugh, you cry, and then you come back for more." I think the comment itself justifies how I feel about the book.

John Green has created a new aura of the art of reading. He writes in such a manner that you feel like your best friend is sitting in front of you and narrating a beautiful story. 

The Fault In Our Stars has broken the hearts of millions of readers all around the world, but it surely has made itself a class apart from all other YA books. 

Dedicated to Esther Earl, a girl who passed away after she was detected with Thyroid Cancer, this book has the power to be an inspiration and is one of the most beautiful books that I've ever read. 

This book is surely to be added to my re-reading list. 

Also, don't forget to watch the movie adaptation of this book, starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort.

PERCY JACKSON AND THE LIGHTNING THIEF BOOK REVIEW

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief is probably one of the best books that I have ever read. My heart skipped a beat with every page that I turned and there was something totally unexpected and impressively different in each and every chapter! The book is based on Greek Mythology and the best part is that the author has hardly changed any concepts, but still managed  to keep the readers excited. The book gives a fabulous blend of the modern world and the ancient world of Greek Mythology.The good thing is that it provides a lot of information on Mythology without making the reader doze off :P

I could also see a close similarity between this book and Harry Potter.
It's about a trio that gets a quest for truth and in the end,they end up living happily and all that, but what makes this series different from Harry Potter is that the reader can relate the story of the book with his/her surroundings. Also, the fact that the Underworld is in Los Angeles and the imaginary 600th floor of the Empire State building was extremely fascinating.

Even though the first few chapters of the book were a little boring,the book quickly picked up it's pace after the 5th chapter. I simply adore Rick Riordan's sense of humour! One of the biggest plus points of the book is Percy's amazing comic timing. I really couldn't understand the affection for the 'blue food' , but it turns out that it's funnier when not understood. :D

Camp Half-Blood is a destination where every Percy Jackson fan would want to live. The characters are so realistic that at times you tend to forget that they are fictional. The book is written from a teenager's point-of-view, so I don't think anybody would find it difficult to read.

Anyway, the book is so good that I think it hardly has any negative points. It is action-packed and full of surprises. Unlike many other books, the author has pushed aside the perception that a hero can never fail in life. Percy Jackson is a book that can be equally enjoyed by 8 year olds as well as 80 year olds. The book is not at all disappointing and is totally worth reading more than once :)
